The Team
Risk Management, Institutional Client Coverage (ICC) is a division which specifically services the Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) business in Australia and offshore in New Zealand, London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong Shanghai. ICC is organised along the following industry lines: Natural Resources, Social Infrastructure, Health Utilities, Real Estate, Food, Beverage Agriculture, Telecommunications, Media, Entertainment Retail, and Transport.
The Role
Responsible for the risk management of a portfolio within ICC. Ensure authorised frameworks and systems are effectively used in the management of risk/credit decisions so as to achieve an optimum outcome for the Group. Contribute to business by assisting in product structuring to meet client needs and by consistently providing a high level of customer service.
Main Duties
- Responsible for a portfolio of ICC clients, including periodic credit and rating reviews, compliance reviews, exposure monitoring and breach reporting. Contribute to the development and application of IBM's Three Lines of Defence model.
- Provide structuring advice, analyse, prepare, review and approve credit up to the designatedauthority on proposals originating from IBM.
- Provide specialist advice and input atvarious panelsto IBM proposals.
- Understand the impact of industry issues and change in internal/external credit environments on the credit quality of clients in the IBM portfolio.
Experience Required
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in a finance related discipline.
- Extensiveexperience in a risk position dealing with credit and operational risk.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in corporate risk management.
- Institutional Banking risk management experience exercising of a credit approval delegation will be highly regarded.
