Position Description:
Responsible for Market Risk for the trading business in Seoul, this role will need to work closely with senior trading and business heads to manage the risk exposure and to lead and create relevant policies, processes and projects as the business develops. This role would also be the point-of-contact between the Firm and regulators.
Skills Required:
- At least 8 years of risk management experience with a sizeable brokerage house or investment banking environment
- Candidates with less experience in risk management but with relevant trading experience would also be considered
- Product knowledge of equity derivatives (both vanilla/exotics), equity secondary/primary markets, regulatory environment for equity markets
- Practical knowledge of risk management methodologies such as VaR, stress loss, limit setting, regulatory reporting are required
- Ability to work with senior trading and business heads and to push back where necessary to ensure proper governance
- Strong communications skill
