Risk Manager (4+ yrs) – Financial Services – Singapore recruitment
The scope of the role will include assessing, benchmarking and optimizing risk strategy for the APAC region in the area of portfolio monitoring, and providing risk support to new venture and products.
You will be responsible for credit risk monitoring of vendors and the creation, documentation and implementation of policies and procedures that will enable the firm to achieve sound credit risk decisions. This will require close collaboration with global counterparts and cross-functional teams located in different overseas offices.
This position requires a proven record of merchant risk management (online and/or offline), business acumen, creative thinking, strong communication skills, exceptional multi-tasking capabilities as well as advanced research and analytical skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, document and implement credit risk policies and procedures based on hands-on monitoring and portfolio analytics
- Work with global and regional teams to evaluate and improve existing policies on a regular basis; routine and on-going analysis of losses to ensure an appropriate balance of portfolio losses and risk at all times
- Support regional implementation of risk mitigation controls (e.g. reserves, minimum balances, withdrawal limits) to limit risk of specific populations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools and processes to enhance efficiency of vetting and monitoring; assist in new product development, marketing activities and related risk endeavors
- Ability to evaluate credit risk for individual merchants and translate insights to create standardised policies and procedures
