Risk Manager – Global Insurance Group recruitment
Your prime focus will be to support the Risk Management department in developing and maintaining the overall risk framework in line with Solvency II, identifying improvements and communicating its significance to all staff members. Responsibilities will include :
- Performing risk assessments and reviewing activities
- Conducting risk reviews as required and producing recommendations that are risk based and commercially relevant
- Maintaining and developing the Group’s and 3rd party syndicates’ risk registers
- Overseeing the implementation of risk based control improvements
- Identifying and monitoring risk issues, control failures/ near misses
- Overseeing appropriate remedial action for areas of risk or control deficiencies
- Supporting the risk department in defining risk appetite/ tolerance across the group and assisting in the monitoring of the risk profile against such appetite or tolerance levels
- Assisting in the development of Key Risk Indicators, ensuring they are embedded within the business
- Assisting the business in meeting and monitoring Lloyd’s Minimum Standards for Risk Management across all syndicates, including Third Party Syndicates
- Supporting the Risk Management department duties regarding integration for new syndicates and migration of departing syndicates
Skills Required :
- A risk management or internal background from the Lloyd’s or general insurance sectors is highly preferable
- Awareness of the Lloyd’s and FSA regulatory regimes is preferable
- A working knowledge of Solvency II
- Strong presentation skills
