Responsibilities: Provide capability for system engineering planning for the risk management effort on the Space Fence program at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of risk probabilities and consequences, along with significant experience in the Government environment including Government regulations and protocol. Responsibilities include the following: Use appropriate DoD/AF/AFMC/ESC/SMC system engineering risk processes to identify, assess, mitigate, and execute risk effort. Provide technical assessments of each identified risk and evaluation options, activities, and studies that will assist in mitigating the risk and recommend best mitigation strategy and approach to the Program Office. Plan, develop, and maintain the risk management task and risk management database using the Active Risk Manager (ARM) tool. Provide support for acquisition strategy analysis and planning; analyze competitive, dual source, production split, and other acquisition strategy methodologies and present advantages and disadvantages to each alternative strategy in lifecycle activities. Support the preparation, review, and integration of selected milestone review documentation, periodic reports, and certifications as identified in DoDI 5000.2 and other DoD Directives, and recommend and prepare changes. Work Environment: Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. Other Essential Functions: Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be able to travel when necessary to accommodate customer and program requirements. The position for which you are applying requires a US government security clearance.
