Risk Manager recruitment

We need an enthusiastic, diplomatic analyst to join the team that is responsible for assessing and helping to mitigate ethical concerns related to sustainability impacts of our business transactions and reputation risks.

The opportunity
Reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability Political Risk, you will assess sensitive business transactions in line with our Sustainability Risk Framework and Code of Conduct. Group-wide global sustainability risk training activities for current and new employees will also be your responsibility. Overall, you will contribute to developing our related policies, including oil and gas, mining, dams, forestry, nuclear
proliferation, human rights, environmental protection and animal testing, and will help develop forward-looking risk advice services. We will expect you to interact comfortably with internal stakeholders and partners at different levels within Swiss Re.

About you
Along with your degree in, for instance, natural or social sciences or macroeconomics, you understand civil society ethical discourse on natural and socio-economic challenges and have practical experience in related fields. Ideally you have worked in a multilateral agency or an NGO or lived in an emerging country. You also have excellent analytical (ideally quantitative), communication and presentations skills and a diplomatic approach. Finance/insurance industry and project management experience are a plus. Your English is excellent, and other languages are advantageous.
