Department Description:
Operating in a dynamic and fast moving environment,
this group is part of Treasury Services
Risk Management. It is accountable to the Treasury Services Europe, Middle East and Africa
Risk Management Executive for the execution of applicable policies and control oversight of trade finance activities.
The team
takes prime responsibility for approving trade finance transactions, monitoring reporting of credit exposures whilst ensuring the appropriate operational controls are in place and complied with. The portfolio is made up of banks and corporates and encompasses a wide range of markets within the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

The advertised position will report to EMEA Head of Trade Credit Operation risks in London. The role will be based in Dubai following a training period in London.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMENA Trade Portfolio Management
Analyze and evaluate Trade Asset Portfolio- devise and direct risk mitigation solutions and actions to minimize the potential of credit and operating losses.Proactively assist the business to develop new products/solutions which address all material risksMonitor and mitigate significant high risk/ adversely classified exposuresCreate, update and monitor compliance of approved credit and product programsProvide oversight in the evaluation of operational lossesProduct and Business DevelopmentAdvise Product and Client Trade Sales Managers on risks and policy issuesSupport Product Managers by providing risk solutions during the development of new ProductsSupport Product Management in the development, realignment and expansion of Target Markets and Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria in light of constantly changing economic and financial environmentProvide Risk leadership for Trade in the region.Implement and maintain risk discipline for Products/ Product development, operational controls, and deal reviewIdentify and evaluate high risk functions, including operational failures and creditParticipate in Trade Deal and Credit Portfolio ReviewsAssist business in preparing and presenting New Product Approval to the NBIA Committee.Strategic SupportSupport global EMEA wide projects as applicable to MENA.Facilitate the development of risk culture within the BusinessParticipate in the development and delivery of TS Risk trainingWorking across the business and risk organizations, ensure the impact(s) of all risk disciplines (credit, market, operational and franchise) are understood and addressed.Credit ApprovalsHelp structure, approve and control trade credit facilities sanctioning all individual Trade Finance transactions under approved credit limits as per delegated approval authority.

Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of Banking products, in particular Trade and Commodities FinanceKnowledge of corporate and financial institutions.
Deep understanding of business and associated risks of Trade products- namely Traditional Trade Finance instruments, Trade receivable, Supply Chain Finance, Export Agency Finance and CommoditiesDemonstrated Trade Finance banking experience including Risk and/or Senior Credit Officer or Credit Officer experienceKnowledge of credit, market and operational risk policiesIn-depth knowledge of key risk policies including credit, country and cross bordertrade finance business.Ability to exercise sound, timely and independent judgmentExcellent written and oral communication skills with all management levels.Strong leadership skillsGraduate degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred.
