Risk Policy & Governance – Risk Management recruitment
My client is looking for a candidate who has experience from either a credit or market risk role for their policy and governance team. You will work on the oversight of risk policy procedures, to scope, formulate, document and publish the control framework. You will work with a range of stakeholders, and ensure that the framework is reviewed, maintained and updated on a regular basis and according to the needs of the business.
This role would suit an individual with modest experience who is looking to develop a career in risk management by forming a solid and broad understanding of risk governance and risk control framework.
Responsibilities include:
- Administration of key Risk committees, including agenda management, distribution of materials, taking minutes and tracking open action items.
- Participating in the development of policies and procedures, including liaison with policy owners, risk officers and other stakeholders
- Understanding and challenging current business practices, identifying areas for improvement; and drafting documents.
- Attending key Risk committees to provide support for the committee secretary by managing the committee minutes process through taking minutes, drafting and distributing for approval.
- Preparation of monthly Risk Policy Governance status update reporting.
- Preparation of policy and governance training materials
Skills required:
- Degree level graduate from top tier university.
- Previous experience working as a risk or finance professional in an investment bank or management consultancy.
- Proficient user of core MS office applications.
- Highly organized individual with strong attention to detail.
- Confidence to engage with risk staff at all levels.
- Familiarity with FSA BIPRU rules covering market and/or credit risk would be desirable
