Job Description: NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED OUT OF IMMANUEL ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL, MANKATO, MINNESOTA. TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN THE MANKATO REGION. The ambulatory nurse supervisor provides leadership based on the vision, mission, philosophy, and core values of the Mayo Clinic. The ambulatory nurse supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the operational and personnel activities to ensure the provision of high quality care in ambulatory and/or hospital based procedure settings, and is accountable for direct patient care. The role includes ongoing collaboration and communication utilizing participative decision making when appropriate. The ambulatory nurse supervisor is responsible for promoting ongoing development of all staff and for maintaining a professional environment in which all staff can grow and develop. The ambulatory nurse supervisor may be accountable for direct patient care. The ambulatory nurse supervisor applies current nursing and management theories to coordinate outpatient nursing services. (007396) Basic Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program. (revised 2009) Within the past five years, two or more years of recent experience as a registered nurse. Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency. Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area. Other Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership ability. Experience in the department?s specialty preferred. Nursing management experience preferred. License or Certification: Current Minnesota RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing. Benefit Eligible: Yes Exemption Status: Exempt Hours/Pay Period: 80 Schedule Details: Monday through Friday. Shifts may begin as early as 6:00am and end as late as 7:00 pm. Weekend Schedule: Occasional weekends. Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure along with internal equity may be considered when job offer is extended.
