Safety, Health and Environment Specialist Interns
The DuPont Safety, Health and Environmental Internship Program serves as an entry point for students to link their skills and interests to the DuPont commitment to be a world-class leader in safety, health and environmental performance. The DuPont SHE Internship Program operates under principles designed to make the intern's time with DuPont a positive learning experience though assignment to a specific project which is supported by a coach or mentor who provides frequent interaction and guidance throughout the intern's stay. The intern will be encouraged and supported in experiencing the wider DuPont Company while being expected to carry out their responsibilities and deliver business results in line with standard DuPont work practices. Assignments for Interns Assignments are three months in length and located either in Wilmington, Delaware, the site of most DuPont business headquarters or at one of our US based plant sites. Specific projects will be designed so that the work leads toward defined project deliverables that can be accomplished within the time frame of the assignment. The range of assignments will cover the broad spectrum of safety, health and environmental issues, including those dealing with specific regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, EPA, NRC, etc.), technical projects in the area of risk and exposure assessments, the development of training materials, hazards communications and business analysis. Assignments will be match to the skills and interest of successful intern candidates.
