Sales Associate I, McGraw-Hill Financial recruitment
We are actively seeking a Distribution Sales Associate to operate under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Sales and/or a specific sales Manager to assist a team of Distribution Sales Representatives in the achievement of the revenue goal assigned to the territories by the various business units. The Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining day-to-day professional relationships between Standard Poor's distribution customers and prospects by providing a communication source for sales information and problem recognition and resolution.
The responsibilities of the Sales Associate include the following:
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and in securing signed contracts
- Assist sales personnel in the qualification of leads and accounts
- Attend conferences, conduct customer and product demonstrations
- Respond promptly to customer inquires, requests and questions
- Train customer personnel in the use of services
- Conducts telemarketing campaigns at the direction of supervisor
- Conducts direct mail campaigns at the direction of the supervisor
- Prepare weekly status reports
- Prepare and issue client/prospect correspondence
- Maintain account files and records. Organize and update current distribution account database including contract terms and renewal dates.
- Create renewal reports for group on a monthly basis flagging all those accounts four months prior to renewal or as requested in contract terms.
- Track all customer/vendor reports as dictated by contract terms and coordinate any necessary action as a result of the information in the reports.
- Administer, train, and coordinate client use of SP Vendor Reporting Tool.
- Work closely with other sales associate and sales team in the distribution group.
- Other projects as assigned by supervisor
Skills
- Experience in Customer Service or Sales Support
- Able to work comfortably with contact management software, Access, Excel and learn other databases/software as required.
- Must be proficient in Excel.
- Minimum of two-years experience in the financial securities industry.
- General knowledge of the Capital Markets, fundamental financial data, and fixed income data a plus.
- Strong oral/written communications and presentation skills required to interface with prospects, customers and business units.
- Bachelor's degree required.
