Sales Associate/Exec
Ideally you will already have proven experience with Asset Management and/or Financial Services and will be capable of making a significant contribution towards promoting our investment capabilities through marketing, administrative sales support, whilst serving as the proactive agent to enhance existing relationships and resolve complex problems. The successful candidate is best described as having a solid understanding and proven experience in the field of sales support with a longer term potential to pursue a career as a skilled senior sales executive.
Whist the role has no responsibility for cold calling, client facing opportunities may form part of a longer term approved development plan for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the Business development efforts to enhance and sustain ongoing sales, servicing, and overall support for clients and prospects
- Coordinates Road Shows and Events with Institutional Portfolio manager Support
- Monitors and updates our Client Relationship Management system and verifies the integrity of the data inputted by sales
- Research and production of Market/Client/Prospect intelligence (via Morningstar, e-vestments, 20k)/Strategic Profiling
- Pipeline Management/Prospect Tiering in conjunction with sales.
- Assists in meeting preparation and background
- Facilitates active selling
Required skills and experienc
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strategic business relationships both externally with clients and internally with relevant teams, with the ability to keep “Sales focused on sales”
- Personable professional whose strengths include cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport and credibility with a diverse workforce in multi-cultural settings
- Knowledge of the company, including history, investment resources/team/style/process, product offerings, and defined contribution
- Knowledge of financial services industry and investment products in general, including stocks, bonds, real estate, multi asset strategies, funds, annuities, defined contribution and, pension plans
- Strong organisations skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and manage conflicting priorities
- Proven ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate computer skills including MS word, Excel, Power point
- Proven ability to aggregate compelling client presentations materials
- Proven sales support experience gained within the asset management industry preferred
- Knowledge of the full range of investment capabilities including but not limited to Long-Only and Alternative Investments advantageous
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- Financial Industry certification in a major professional sector required, IMC or CFA, CAIA preferred (or a willingness to undertake study to obtain the qualification within a reasonable time upon commencing in role
