The focus of the role is new business development and sales within an assigned geographic territory.  Sales Clerk/Account Manager will also be responsible for teaming with Design Team and new prospective client to create an advertising campaign that fits their specific needs.

 

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB 

 

·         To develop and build a new business pipeline by assertively identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.

·         To support and grow relationships with client base to ensure retention of business through proactive, quality customer service, and through the identification and pursuit of ongoing growing advertising opportunities.

PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Generation

·         Engage in creative lead generation (e.g. phone calls, emails, mailings, networking events, business to business, etc.).

·        Research customer’s advertising needs by building relationships and matching our product with their needs which fit in their budget and helps them grow as a company.

-         Working with client to create and design a sign that fits their vision that will make all parties happy. 

 

 

 

Sales Clerk/Account Management

·         Support your clients through sales and follow-up activities.

·         Coordinate sales calls, meetings, and presentations; create and deliver customized presentations.

·         Assess and identify customer needs, effectively handle objections, close sales.

·         Develop and manage ongoing lead and support clients request for face to face meetings.

·         Monitor account production and growth, and predict future needs.

·         Identify possible threats to sales opportunities and create solutions to overcome them.

 

Building Partnerships

·         Partner with account decision makers to identify ongoing account trends.

·         Cultivate relationships, both laterally and above the primary contact.

·         Resolve customer complaints/issues by effectively working with the customer service team to support the customer.

·         Keep the customer’s interests in mind when doing business.

 

Selling

·         Maintain or exceed an established quarterly and annual sales quota.

·         Engage in appropriate preparation and data gathering to make the most compelling case for products and services.

·         Identify the right price point for the volume of business being generated by the client.

·         Identify the right people to talk to in order to gain a better understanding of the organization’s advertising plan, both current and for future growth.

·         Follow up with customer prospects and leads.

·         Coordinate sales calls meetings and presentations.

·         Develop and manage ongoing lead/accounts pipeline.

·         Create and deliver customized presentations.

·         Create proposals, solutions, and strategies that will help grow business.

·         Provide management with ongoing weekly/monthly forecast and pipeline report.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE EDUCATION REQUIRED

Education:

·    BS/BA Preferred. 2+years of outside field sales; consultative selling experience preferred.  A good knowledge of business to business sales is a plus but is not required.

Experience:

·         Solid transactional sales experience required for non-technical sell w/proven ability to sell new clients.

·         Must be willing to travel at least 75% of the time to cover assigned market territory. Must be able to work from home.

·         Has a demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals and quotas

·         Must be a disciplined self-starter.

·         Must have good organizational and time management skills.
