The Sales Engineer 2 (SE2) supports regional Business sales teams with respect to voice and data products. As part of the sales team, the SE2 provides technical sales support and consulting to assure customer integration and implementation of established T- Mobile products and services.

The SE2 is focused on pre-sales activities with both the Business Development Manager and the Account Manager Teams. Typical pre-sales activities include gaining an understanding of the customer's business and analyzing the customer's mobile communication requirements. The SE2 provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, as well as providing answers to customer's technical inquiries. The SE2 is responsible for architecting wireless solutions utilizing the T-Mobile network that meet customer needs. The SE2 is the wireless data subject matter expert on current and future wireless technologies. He/she works closely with Marketing and Engineering in support of network development efforts, alpha and beta evaluation tests, as well as new product rollouts.

SE2 key objectives are:
* Achieve sales by helping the Business sales channel strategize and present products and services to enterprise customers
* Provide expert knowledge on data products and services offered T-Mobile through the Business Sales channel
* Support Product Development efforts by defining and implementing strategic solutions for enterprise data
Responsibilities of the SE2 are as follows:
Pre-Sales Opportunities
* Support Business Development Manager and Account Managers
* Business Partner Sales partnering
* Architect a solution that fits customer's security model
* Close technical hurdles
* Facilitate wide scale device adoption
* Understand nuances and drivers
* Prepare and present technical customer presentations
* Present roadmaps
* Facilitate coverage analysis
* Provide market specific RFP technical input
* Strategize with Sales team to improve Regional/National sales
* Account reviews with existing customers
* In-building coverage solution management
* Owner of customer technical relationships
* Supports customer's pilots
Technical Training
* Customer trainings
* Product and Network road-show/webinars
* Train TMO Sales force on Wireless data products in order to "sell the best solution" (i.e Tech Talks)
* GSM/GPRS and RIM certifications
Product Testing
* Work with Product Development to ensure reliable enterprise focused products. This includes performing friendly user trials (FUTs) for device certification.
* RIM, Android and Window Mobile devices and software

!*!6-8 years in telecommunications, IT administration or network engineering roles with a professional track record of successful technical leadership involving network and application troubleshooting skills. Mandatory ability to make technical presentations at senior executive management level; ability to clearly present technical concepts in a non- technical way; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong goal attainment, organizational, time management, prioritization and people skills are essential; and ability and willingness to multi-task, manage, and work hard in a fast-paced, team environment.

* Understanding of and experience with the following:
* Domino/Exchange administration
* Routing protocols
* Remote access computing methods
* Layered communication protocols
* System administration roles
* Enterprise security architectures and principles
* IP and ATM networks
* Wi-Fi networks and design (802.11a/b/g)
* Experience with J2EE and/or .NET web applications development is preferred.

Education Experience:
* BSEE or BSCSE preferred. MIS or MSEE desired.
* Professional certifications and/or practical knowledge in at least one of the following areas required:
* Security Administrator: experience in firewall design and administration; knowledge of Checkpoint, PIX, Nokia, PKI, RSA, DES, Encryption, security management, etc.
* UNIX Systems Administration: experience in Solaris, Linux, PERL, Shell scripting, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, etc.
* Windows Systems Administrator: experience in Exchange Server, Windows2000+Server, IIS, ISA, MIS, DHCP, DNS, etc.
* Corporate LAN Administrator: experience in routing and switching, LAN administration; certifications in MCP, MCP+1, MCSE, CNE, etc.
* WAN Network Engineering: experience in routing and switching, designing, building and optimizing layer 2 and 3 networks; desired certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP or related vendor-specific training
* TDMA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, 1XRTT or CDMA training or experience
* A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record is mandatory.
