COMPANY INFORMATION -Sales Executive - Professional Services

- Established in 1994. They used to be a software company but sold their s/w arm in 1999.
- Grown from 60 to 150 Employees - 80 of whom are full-time on-site Consultants; they don't employ contractors
- Utilization target of Consultants is 80% allowing for busy periods of work - they have never turned business away or been unable to deliver on a sale
- 7 in sales, and all hit target in FY 10/11.
- Opened offices in New York and Singapore over the last year.
- Grew revenues by 50% last year and on target to do the same this year.
- Reference able accounts include - Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Barcap, Deutsche Bank, RBS (Investment Banking), Citi Group, Prudential, Aviva, Lloyds of London.
- The culture here is all around work life balance. Most of the employees (including the Founders) are ex-investment Bankers or worked for an Investment Bank. They appreciate the value in a good work-life balance; it is all about excellent people, doing excellent work, without having to sell your soul to the firm.
- They hold annual awards nights and results evenings. They also have quarterly presentations from Management to keep the employees up-to-date on the company's performance and news.
- HR are currently engaged in an Employee Development Project to put together PDP's for all employees to help with career progression.
- They can deploy expertise quickly for specific projects or for specific parts of a project. They are focused on solving their Client's problems with a large bench of highly qualified Consultants and can offer speed of delivery and flexibility of service.

YOU MUST HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING -Sales Executive - Professional Services

- Hungry, motivated and driven
- Sold either Professional Services OR Application Services OR IT Consultancy Services OR Financial Services for Investment Banks/Asset Management Firms (Buy Side) or Insurance Companies.
- Sold to business points of contact, not purely IT
- 5 - 10 year's sales experience
- Degree educated from a recognised University - the majority of Consultants employed are Oxbridge educated and you need to be able to hold a dynamic conversation.
- Any experience of selling to financial services is a bonus
- A second language is a bonus.
- A strong account developer, a proven record in building long-standing relationships within large accounts and winning new business as a result of this.
- You need to have gravitas, and be comfortable holding conversations with MD's and Directors of Investment Banks.

ROLE INFORMATION -Sales Executive - Professional Services

- You will be selling professional services around technical or technology strategy, infrastructure design, application implementation, application development, trading connectivity, low latency consultancy, benchmarking, software vendor selection, re-engineering, workflow optimisation and change management. Some clients will outsource entire business units, typically development teams for high-end and complex trading and risk systems.
- 100% of their service is onshore focused; they are low volume, high value.
- Software vendors they work with: Murex, Mysis, Summit, Algorhythmix, Oracle to a degree - The CTO proactively sources new technology partners to work with.
- You will be selling purely to Investment Banks, Asset Management Firms (Buy Side) and Insurance Companies.
- Deal sizes have grown to an average of £250 - £300k per project. Some deals are up to £2million per project.
- Sales cycles are typically 6 months; variance occurs whether you are selling to an existing or new client
- Year 1 target is £1.8m to £2.6m in revenue dependant on your experience to date and the package you secure.
- New Business focus within accounts - you will be responsible for the commercial aspect of a deal only. Project Managers will be the point of escalation from the delivery point.
- The majority of opportunities are internally driven - i.e. through warm relationships and networking within accounts won. Only 5 deals in 2009 were as a result of incoming inquiries
- On day one you get given one large account to prove yourself and to get fully involved in. This will be a well established tier 1 financial institution. You are not restricted to this one account; you have free reign to go after any client where you think there is business to be won.
- Selling to MD or Director level contacts who sponsor you to Heads of Equity etc.
