Sales Finance Reporting AVP recruitment
The primary function of the role is to maintain and develop key relationships with the Equities COO team, Sales and Trading desks. This includes the production and review of Equities Sales Revenue reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and also providing timely, insightful analytics for the banks global internal client base. Control of the Equities Sales Revenue numbers through validation checks and trade capture integrity are central to the role and add an aspect of project work when required.
Your main responsibilities will include:
The production and review of European Equities Sales Credits reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Understanding the capture of trades in the settlement system all the way through to reporting systems and liaison with Regional and Global business heads. This will include:
- Regional coverage of reports for the Equities Business
- Provision of sales revenue information to a variety of Distribution functions, and also, Exco and Finance
- Ad-Hoc reporting for EU Distribution Management, as and when required.
- Performing Daily analytical reviews on Equities Sales Revenue production, liaising with Front Office, IT and regional PCG to resolve any issues and ensure that trades are booked correctly.
- Reconciliations of sales revenue numbers to ensure that they are consistent and accurate across all relevant reporting systems and aligned with trading.
- Working closely with other regional Sales Finance teams to ensure that sales revenue data across regional businesses are consistent.
- Participation in European daily reporting, including verification of significant trades. This will involve direct daily contact with sales and trading and requires a basic understanding of the trades executed.
- Provide insightful value add analytics on the Equities franchise on a weekly/monthly basis and present in team meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Degree qualified
- Qualified Accountant/CFA
- Finance background is a must (There is very little technical accounting related to 'standards' within the area, but we have to able to communicate with our Product Control counterparts and produce reliable, accurate information with commentary for senior audiences)
- Investment banking industry exposure
- Exposure to front office audience (ideally)
- Equities experience a preference
- Understand the role of the sales function in an investment bank
- Understand common / simple investment banking products
