Sales Manager – Equity
About US:
DISCERN, an exciting "Big Data" research company that combines Wall Street experience with Silicon Valley innovation, is looking for a highly motivated salesperson to leverage his/her financial knowledge and existing relationships, to sell a next-generation research product (see www.discern.com).
DISCERN’s Asia headquarters is located in Shanghai. Preference will be given to candidates who can be based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Beijing, but other major cities will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Developing new and existing institutional client relationships with a goal of continuously broadening distribution in Greater China;
- Generating investment ideas and working closely with research team to improve product offerings.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of Institutional Equity Sales experience covering institutional clients (the buyside) in Greater China;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and textually;
- Broad-based knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management;
- A first-rate track record in the generation of sales and delivery of service to clients in addition to a strong base of transferable relationships;
- Extremely self-motivated, commercial, and entrepreneurial;
- Fluency in English and Chinese;
- Team player, proactive, decisive, with excellent interpersonal skills;
- High personal integrity and business ethics. Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
