Sales Manager recruitment
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business and expansion within existing clients within the commodities sector (specifically metals and softs) by managing the whole sales process from qualification to contract closure. Dealing on a multi-level basis the Sales Manager will engage with a combination of decision makers that will include Traders, Heads of Sales / Purchasing, Risk Managers, Treasurers, COO, Operations Directors, IT, CFO’s. To achieve an annual sales target within a defined territory.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Supported by marketing, qualification of targeted organizations.
- Engaging with C level execs to identify business needs and solutions
- To identify the necessary resources and lead the virtual team through the sales lifecycle, which is typically of 6-12 months duration.
- Lead the preparation and completion of the RFI and RFP process
- Assist in preparation and delivery of software demonstrations in pre-sales process
- Schedule, prepare, and complete workshops of the firm’s software with qualified client prospects
- Maintain and update Account Plans on Salesforce throughout sales process with qualified prospective clients
- Prepare proposals and license agreements for approval and submission
- Share competitive intelligence in assigned industry vertical with other sales team members
Education and Qualifications Required
- Educated to degree level
Experience and Skills Required
- Demonstrable track record selling large enterprise software ideally to one or more of:banks, brokers, trading companies, producers and fabricators and mining companies
- Experience of selling logistics, trading or risk management solutions would be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful relationships both internally and externally with senior management.
- 3 years’ experience of managing complex sales processes through to successful conclusion
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proven ability to analyze and communicate commercial and technical recommendations both internally and to clients
- Excellent presentation skills – up to Board level
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to travel,
- Fluency in languages other than English a benefit.
