Job Overview:
The Supervisor of Sales Planning Operations oversees the Contract Reporting Specialist and together they are responsible for providing support to the entire DEI Sales force worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot 7 Discovery Enterprise International systems, support global users (30 people) and liaise with IT for development and enhancements (approximately 50%).
- Manage the internal offer process (approximately 30%).
- Weekly, process, track, review and communicate all Internal DNI offers made to DEI. Work closely with US nets finance/senior management, DEI sales reps, Global Content Operations and DNI programmers buying content.
- Work in tandem with Programming Operations Director to secure US content for DEI distribution via new post-premiere process.
- Assist DEI finance and Strategy in monitoring DEI sales performance against projections.
- Sales Planning reporting (approximately 20%).
- Plan content for twice yearly catalog release.
- Disseminate and oversee the maintenance of the content pipeline master excel tracker.
- Maintain the financial reporting back end "cheat sheet" which allows for enhanced reporting from Rights Logic system.
- Run format all ad hoc requested sales reports for senior management, producers, and DCL clients.
- Maintain organized shared drive folder with all sales reports, cheat sheet, pipeline and various other excel tracker/reports.
- Assist with pre- and post-trade show shipping and bulk mailing efforts for conferences, as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience required, preferably working in sales or data management systems/processing, business affairs or media operations.
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel 2010 including the use of formulas, pivot tables and formatting.
- Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Solid attention to detail a must.
- Optimistic approach and diligent work ethic.
- Exposure to international travel and cultures preferred.
- Proactive individual who is a self-starter with great follow-through and attention to detail.
- The ideal candidate is a highly skilled multi-tasker who will work as a team player with the goal of information and systems management to streamline the business.
