Edline, a Blackboard Company, is a dynamic and growing provider of K-12 web-based communications solutions located in downtown Chicago – we provide web site hosting and Software as a Service (Saas) solutions to K-12 educational institutions.  As the industry leader for over a decade, we help over 20,000 schools and millions of families succeed using innovative technologies that support learning and enable meaningful online communication and collaboration among all members of the education community.  Due to our accelerated growth and recent acquisitions, we are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our highly-skilled team.

This is a position for a highly motivated, professional and organized individual.  Because we are a fast-growing company, we seek flexible individuals able to manage priorities and reach territory goals.  Your primary activities will include:

 

·         Cultivating interest and sales through cold calls, emails and networking

·         Meeting quantitative goals for prospecting, presentations and sales

·         Conducting dynamic and well-informed on-line and face-to-face sales presentations for district    and school level administrators

·         Identifying and coordinating Request for Proposal (RFP) responses

·         Managing a pipeline of sales opportunities

·         Quoting, negotiating and closing the sale

 

We can teach you many of the things you will need to know to sell our products, but you must already know how to manage your time, work step by step toward a long term goal, and possess high energy and a competitive sales drive.

 

Details of position:

 

·         Sales Representative – Full time

·         Chicago-based, corporate office position

·         Base salary plus uncapped commissions

·         Group Health Insurance

 Requirements

Qualified candidates must be enthusiastic and have a terrific work ethic that compliments a combination of the following:

·         4 year college degree

·         Sales experience of 1-5 years

·         Demonstrated successful sales performance

·         Software/technology sales experience a plus

·         Technology nimble

·         Passion for education and the K-12 industry

·         K-12 sales experience a plus

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Presentation and public speaking ability

·         Computer proficiency with MS Office, Internet
