Sales Representative Southeast Region Enterprise Fixed Income Solutions, S&P Capital IQ, McGraw-Hill Financial recruitment
SP Capital IQ, a division of McGraw-Hill Financial (MHF), is currently searching for a Director of Sales to join our team, build an exciting career with us and support our growth trajectory. The Director of Sales will focus on prospecting and new client market development.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Identify prospects and close new footprint sales in the Southeast Region.
- Forge long term relationships with established book of business. Seek to expand the scope of the relationships.
- Establish internal relationships with Product Management team(s). Relay feedback from the field to help shape innovative product development and future direction of strategy for McGraw-Hill Financial.
- Work closely with the marketing group to initiate sales campaigns in the territory.
- Lead contract preparation and contract amendments driving the commercial terms that reflect client needs and meet McGraw-Hill Financial standards.
- Participate fully in all contract renewal efforts.
- Run and analyze usage reports to identify proactive action steps to increase usage or add capability.
Skills
- 5+ years relevant experience in financial services industry related directly or indirectly to software, analytics and data sales with a proven track record in a consultative sales process.
- Self-starter with ability to effectively prospect.
- Experience must include managing top tier buy and sell side accounts and developing relationships at the senior management level across client organizations.
- Experience with back, middle and front office operations including system architecture and third party financial software providers.
- Strong background in data analysis tools. Understanding of the use of data and analytics for risk mitigation and forward predictive performance.
- 25% out-of-office travel will be essential in this position since the coverage is the Southeast Region

- Understanding of relevant third party software/data providers across all vendor verticals
- Ability to articulate MHF file and delivery architecture to clients and understand compatibility with client systems.
- Create appropriate solutions given similarities or differences with above

- Lead with integrity and produce results that allow team to be viewed as credible throughout the organization
- Collaborate with global counterparts to champion best practices across regions as applicable.
- Build teams that continually evolve and have the skill set needed to successfully serve clients and meet revenue goals as service offerings change and/ or we enter new markets.
- Drive revenue by continually analyzing past sales throughout MHF, market trends and the competition. This information is synthesized to execute sales campaigns that promote MHF offerings that are differentiated in the market.
