Sales Support/Internal Sales recruitment
Responsibilities:
Directly support designated institutional sales team and management on day to day activities.
- Account strategy and management
- Pre-meeting research
- Development of individual account sales strategy with sales rep
- Proactive follow up and execution of sales tactics with sales reps throughout sales process
- Preparation of sales materials
- Territory management
- New appointment setting
- Work with sales executives to prioritise and execute sales tactics and strategies
- CRM management and data integrity
- RFP process support
- Provide specific deal strategy and direction to RFP team with sales person
- Coordinate and write specific responses to meet individual prospect requirements
- Manage sales materials through compliance process
- Management support
Business Development:
- Proactively seek out and qualify sales opportunities and develop where appropriate.
- Proactively look for sales opportunities to pass on to the business development team
Targets
- Consistently work towards and achieve team and individual targets that are set. These can be fiscal as well as competency based.
Other:
• Participate in internal communication of activity. For example, weekly team update meetings.
- Timely and consistent recording of all relevant client contact (phone calls, emails, face to face meetings, sales process meetings, etc) in agreed database(s).
- Support sales team by attending networking and industry events.
- Work with line manager to review and agree targets/objectives set, maintaining an appropriate level of activity to enable these to be met.
- Ensure all the above efforts remain aligned to unit and SEI strategy.
- Proactively maintain/develop good knowledge of industry trends, market forces, regulatory changes and macro-economic forces impacting SEI’s target market in the UK.
- Any other ad-hoc projects/duties as required.

Technical Capabilities/Skills Experience Required for the Role:
- Ideally degree educated with practical investments and pension related experience.
- Clear interest in financial services sales /Institutional marketplace coupled with a basic understanding of the markets and various asset classes.
- Desire to develop in to a direct sales role.
- The ability to be credible in communications with clients (internal and external).
- Ability to present and host meetings and calls and facilitate events.
- Demonstrate experience of influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to handle and deliver multiple tasks and projects within tight delivery schedules.
- Proficient IT skills - all Microsoft office products and able to pick up other systems/databases easily.
