SAP Business Objects Analyst Job in Chandler, Arizona Us

A top tier company in Chandler Arizona is looking for an experienced SAP Business Objects Analyst to join their team.  This is a great opportunity if you have deep technical expertise in the specifics of Business Objects, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, SQL, and DB2.

Responsibilities:
* Manage a hierarchical Security Model in both XI2 and XI3, and undertake formal reviews with business owners and reporting stakeholders
* Manage all needed SOX Audit corporate reporting via the use of BI reporting functionality and 360 View reporting tools.
* Work cooperatively with other IT specialists, developers, analysts, DBA*s, ETL specialists, end users, and other resources as required
* Work with development and operations staff to determine data storage requirements, and assess and determine future needs for servers and data storage devices that will properly support the required performance levels of the reporting environment
* Identify and adopt *best practices* and other BI/DW development standards, along with documenting and communicating the standards to appropriate developers and users
* Manage the internal BO User Group at IR, including facilitating regular meetings, and making use of the feedback to further support and enhance  BI/DW
* Perform as an individual contributor role, doing hands-on work to undertake the duties of the BO Analyst. 
* Work with minimal supervision and be able to execute tasks on a timely basis at a high-level of quality.  Able to take direction from IT management and plan out and carry out needed tasks.
* Participate in SAP ECC 6.0 global roll-out, and provide expertise and insights for the BI/DW implementation
* Ensure proper compliance of the IT environment to industry best practices and norms
* Interact with business users to understand business processes and gather requirements during SAP implementation
* Conduct Quality Assurance activities as required throughout the project
* Adhere to development methodology, standards and naming conventions and best practices
* Complete project related documentation (naming standards, technical specifications, test plans etc) during the different stages of the project as required
Required Competencies
* Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field, or equivalent experience
* Experience in at least 2 full life cycles of BO and SAP implementations
* 5 to 8 years of experience in BI/DW implementations, from end-to-end of the life cycle, starting with the requirements and through the fielding of the system. 
* Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities in a data warehouse environment
* Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Must have experience working on multiple, overlapping projects
* Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
* 5+ year*s technical expertise in Business Objects XI2 and XI3, utilizing the full BI Suite for Administration and Development.
* Prior experience and extensive expertise in Universe Design, WebIntelligence  Crystal Reports development for a global organization.
* Expertise in DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL SQL universe schemas.
* Certifications and/or advanced training in Business Objects. Must be of a recent nature.
* Expertise in the techniques, tips, tricks involving BI/DW design, development, testing, fielding, and troubleshooting.  Must have work extensively in a star schema, Data Warehouse reporting model.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a global matrix IT organizational model.
* High Tech industry experience, and semi-conductor industry is a plus
* Experience with SAP ECC 5.0 minimum
