Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army) SAP Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior SAP implementation manager for a high visibility senior level position on the Global Combat Support System - Army Project.

GCSS-Army is a SAP ERP implementation that is modernizing Logistics and related Financial Management for the U.S. Army tactical environment. This position is senior level positions for the Northrop Grumman team reporting to the PM, and the successful candidate must have the ability to take ownership of the coordination between the NGC team, supporting vendors, and all Government parties, especially the Army financial management community and the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) project team. Political sensitivity and diplomacy are required. Duties include leading/directing the technical development of SAP ERP product, coordination, brainstorming and articulating issues towards a goal of achieving decisions needed to keep the project moving forward. Communicating the results back to the project as clear, executable guidance is part of the job. Candidate needs to be an SAP expert, part designer, part facilitator, part diplomat and highly results oriented. Frequent travel to Northern Virginia is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates must be a US citizen with the ability to achieve and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An interim Secret clearance is required to start. Candidates who are not US citizens will not be considered at this time.
  • BS or MS degree with 14 years of experience. 10 years of SAP cross functional experience on multiple projects. Also have experience in the implementation arena and hands on experience with SAP DFPS, MDS...current SAP baseline.
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years experience leading at least two large-scale SAP implementations through full life cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and ability to meet tight deadlines required.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Ability to motivate teams and to effectively represent Northrop Grumman.
  • The ability to determine and facilitate integration requirements across functional processes and lead the functional and development teams into a successful set of integration activities is required.
  • Past large project management experience or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification status is necessary.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Previous DoD or Federal government experience is highly desired.
