SAS technology skills summary needed of User Coach Consultant, using latest releases / version of SAS software:
1) Solid EG skills (very important)
2) Strong knowledge of all SAS EBI Server components (“all” components – i.e., WRS, OLAP Cube Studio, IDP, BI Dashboard, Publishing Framework, AMO, IMAP.)
3) Base SAS programming background
4) Strong Knowledge of SQL and experience working with SAS and large databases (Teradata Oracle) (SQL support will be mostly a troubleshooting exercise, helping users with problems.)
5) Strong understanding of stored processes. (Why? The Agency has a large integrated data repository and are presently building approaches to surface results from it, having started with IMAP’s but not realizing much success there. They recently conducted a Requirements Phase across 14 Departments, seeking to understand who uses the repository, where the data goes, the importance of reports, etc. And now they are trying to develop various approaches to access the data (data views / data marts) either through cubes or STP’s or IMAP’s, and are weighing options on how best to present information to the users. You, as Technical Architect, must lead defining solutions to these sorts of issues.)
6) Experience in migrating SAS users over to a centralized, metadata managed environment with EG / EBI Interfaces
7) Teradata In-database knowledge a very big plus
8) Nice to Have: Healthcare data experience a big plus
9) Nice to Have: Experience with Data Warehousing concepts and disciplines (not DI Studio specifically)
