SAS Risk Consultant recruitment

Our client a leading consultancy is actively looking to recruit Risk Consultants for their expanding teams across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a varied role working with some of the UK’s leading financial institutions. Given the number of opportunities available, we’re looking for a range of candidates with experience from 2 years to 10 years+ working with Credit Risk modelling areas, using SAS and SQL.

Candidates will need to have a strong and demonstrable background in developing, calibrating and validating PD, LGD and EAD models either directly for a financial institution or through a consultancy. You must possess strong statistical skills and have good experience building statistical models.
Desirable candidates will have good knowledge of financial products across Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Insurance as well as having a broad risk knowledge.

As a consultant, you will spend the majority of your time on client sites, advising and presenting complex analytical concepts to all levels of the business. You will provide advice and training across risk management approaches and must possess strong rapport building skills.

- University degree in a mathematical subject
- Excellent Presentation Skills
- Financial products pricing methods
- Bank accounting
- Project Management
- A good understanding of risk and will be able to produce comprehensive and well
structured analyses reports.
- A good team player and able to work independently
- A self-starter who is proactive in nature
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Abilities to build cross functional and external relationships
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be prepared to travel to various client sites across the UK, potentially for extended periods. All candidates must hold a full UK driving license.
