Screening and Immunisation Coordinator - Public Health England

PHE is an executive agency of the Department of Health, a delivery organisation with operational autonomy to advise and support Government, Local Authorities and the NHS.

The screening and immunisation team supports the commissioning of high quality programmes covering Hertfordshire Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. Reporting to and supporting the screening and immunisation manager, the role requires that the needs of all eligible people are met, the programmes are carried out with the highest levels of quality, safety and efficiency, minimum standards are at least achieved and excellence is a continual target. You will have responsibility for the implementation of strategies and plans for continuous improvement. With key liaison responsibilities to the head of public health commissioning, primary care providers and contract managers, you will lead in cancer screening/non cancer screening and/or specific immunisation programmes. Performance management, quality assurance and incident response management are other responsibilities you will undertake.

The position has a temporary or fixed term contract option for 8 months for two days per week. The post holder will have presentation and coordination skills and project management experience. Be adept at providing improvement to to current management information, have skills to develop KPI's, research and development and have good analytical and report writing skills. they will also need to have experience of operational delivery of team projects, plan and develop quality outcomes, and develop policies for service and /or initiative management.
