Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation.
Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.
The primary function of Client Middle Office is to be the main contact for post execution services. New and existing client businesses is facilitated in close collaboration with Sales, Credit, Compliance and Operational Teams. Each team has responsibility for maintaining the regulatory standards of their respective businesses, however the specific functions and roles vary among each of the desks, products and regions. Additionally, Client Middle Office strives to streamline, enhance and optimize our technology initiatives across businesses to better safeguard the reputation of the Firm and our Clients.
The Client Middle Office (CMO) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated analyst to enhance client experiences, drive efficiencies and act as an effective risk manager.
CMO supports both our Equities and Fixed Income Client Franchise with responsibility for client service relating to trade confirmation, allocations, pre-matching, and fail management functions. The team is responsible for maintaining the regulatory standards for the respective businesses as well as the specific functions and roles associated to the products covered. The Asia Client Middle Office organization has teams located in Tokyo and Singapore with coverage for the region.
• Represent Middle Office to the business and external clients by leveraging product and functional expertise in Listed Equities and Fixed Income products
• Risk Management Framework: Ensure that the team adheres to all policies, procedures and controls through consistent review of checklists and control reporting. Source opportunities to integrate Risk Quotients into the daily workflow to assist with prioritization and identify areas of potential risk and implement best practice and appropriate reporting to mitigate
• Change Management: Work cooperatively across the team and project managers to advocate for process improvement whether through technology or workflow enhancements. Use root cause analysis, time in motion studies and metrics to evaluate work drivers and to target and drive process improvements within and across teams
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum one year's relevant experience in Operations
• Strong record of working proactively with Clients and Business partners
• Effective team-player with ability to impact and influence across organization and levels
• Strong control focus and understanding of operational tools to mitigate risk
• Good organization and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Either Fixed Income or Listed Equities products knowledge
• Business level Chinese or Japanese (verbal and written) required in addition to English
