Securities Services New Business Development Officer recruitment
Responsibilities
• Work closely with general Sales and Relationship Management Groups to identify opportunities, develop presentations, pitch and close deals
• Manage and maintain an accurate and timely deal pipeline and associated performance metrics;
• Maintain a good working relationship with Trading, Product Development, Client Service, Legal, Tax and Compliance
• Assess trends and strategies in the financial services arena and develop a penetrative sales proposition for securities lending
• Participate in consultant briefings where securities services expertise is required
• Negotiate securities services contracts with clients, prospects and consultants
• Manage the complete life cycle of the client integration process into Securities services
• Communicate market requirements and trends for continual product development
• Participation in the rapid crafting of RFP responses from consultants and prospects
• Develop and implement a sales plan to drive forward third party securities lending
• Take ownership for the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of an extensive RFP database for Securities services

- Strong technical knowledge of the securities services and custody markets;
- Gravitas and credibility; a source of securities services expertise;
- Good coach of those less experienced;
- Good cross-seller;
- Proven experience of presenting to external clients/bodies;
- An all round awareness of the dependencies of securities services business activity including credit, legal, compliance, regulatory and operations;
- Capacity to prioritise work requiring much attention to detail from that where speed is of the essence, and the target audience requires a less detailed approach;
- Willingness to travel at short notice;
- Ability to attend conferences and participate as a speaker/panellist;
- Style and substance.

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or proven experience in field;
- Proven experience in client facing roles;
- Experience in securities lending or financial services business development roles;
- Industry or financial services experience with a custodian, fund manager or (prime) broker.
