Segment Head – Emerging Local Corporates recruitment

A new vacancy has arisen within a major, award winning UAE bank, based in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the ELC business segmentation structure and process, providing sales expertise to ensure achievement of sales results through portfolio management and to drive client loyalty

• Implement the sales strategy for the assigned ELC business segment

• Lead and direct activities of the assigned ELC business segment

• Ensure consistent and high quality business, sales and operational processes and strategies

• Ensure the assigned ELC business segment achieves a satisfactory Audit (control) rating

• Set annual budgets, provide midyear re forecasting and revenue build initiative to close revenue / expense gaps as appropriate.

• Ensure PL and balance sheet objectives are met across all revenue and stock lines.

• Responsible for ensuring cost budgets are met and any incremental costs are compensated through positive jaws.

• Keep credit losses to minimum and within agreed loss norm thresholds.

• Structure deals for complex transactions

• Ensure appropriate plans in place for remedial management of problem accounts and establish a tracking mechanism for doing so

• Provide input for the development/review of new products and changes to existing products and policies

• Assess sales opportunities, develop sales plans, ensure appropriate sales goals and develop portfolio management activities within the assigned ELC business segment

• Set the vision, develop the implementation plans and road map, inspire and guide the assigned ELC business segment team to achieve short and long-term goals

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 10 years + related and or relevant experience.

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant subject (business, accounting finance)

• Masters degree in relevant subjects or Diploma in Banking preferred

Experience –

• Business Management; directly responsible for a significant Profit and Loss business

• Successful track record in sales / sales management

• Credit (Credit initial)

• Successful community relations

• Breadth of experience (e.g. working in a different business, different geographies, line and staff roles, etc)

• Financial services or retail experience

• People management experience including sizable teams

• Advanced business degree preferred or equivalent business experience

• Number of years in commercial credit and sales management
