THE ROLE INVOLVES:
• Responsible for a portfolio of cross-divisional cost savings programs related to respective expense line
• Gain support and acceptance of ideas and initiatives at senior levels within Efficiency management and the wider CS organization
• Assume a leadership role in the entire savings project life cycle from idea conception to analysis, implementation planning, execution, delivery, and post implementation analysis
• Establish specific expense line efficiency targets and consistently track, report and assist in savings validation of respective initiatives and negotiations
• Effectively coordinate the execution of successful vendor contract negotiations for Preferred Supplier Framework Agreements and for respective individual deal contracts
• Ensure that there is expenditure approval for the respective budgets for specific deal contracts
• Develop credibility and operate as a subject matter expert and internal consultant for respective expense line expenditures efficiency plays and become the first point of contact for the business stakeholders in respect of Strategic Consultant vendors
• Build effective and cooperative alliances externally with key vendors and manage directly those vendor relationships
DIVISIONAL OVERVIEW
Efficiency Management is a highly visible, dynamic team that partners with all divisions and regions to drive the firm’s cost reduction efforts through an integrated approach that addresses the firm’s policies, processes, demand management and supply management.
Specifically the team is responsible for:
• Driving Credit Suisse to be best-in-class in cost efficiency among its peer organizations
• Managing Credit Suisse’s portfolio of suppliers and maximize the commercial and operational value to the firm through these relationships
• Shifting the culture within Credit Suisse to an ownership mindset on costs
• Partnering with other groups in CFO to increase overall accountability and enhance delivery
• Agreeing and delivering firm-wide expense efficiency initiatives, including those sponsored by the Expense Management Board
The team, which is part of the CFO division, is composed of 300+ employees across 24 locations in the Americas, EMEA, Switzerland Asia Pacific regions. Functions include:
• Expense Category Management
• Service Delivery
• Expense Control Regulatory
• COO / Operational Support
A role in Efficiency Management offers broad experience across multiple business lines functional areas, exposure to senior management across the firm, opportunities to drive significant impact to the Bank from conception through post-implementation realization. We are looking to hire experienced professionals with skills attitude necessary to deliver outstanding performance in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Significant experience of working within the consulting industry at Strategic Consultants, Big 4 Audit and Consultancy firm or a similar consultancy practice
• Significant experience in negotiating with Strategic Consultant vendors and in typical scoping and pricing models utilized
• Procurement experience and demand side knowledge within Professional Services arena
• Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills both internally with key stakeholders and externally with vendors
• Category knowledge and expertise: ability to analyze markets and gather intelligence on market conditions and supply/demand drivers
• Strong data analytic and project management skills, self - motivated with strong organizational skills
• Proven track record of working in a multi-task, international environment with an ability to work effectively cross border
• Advanced MS Excel PowerPoint skills ability to easily learn other standard procurement and demand management tools
• Fluent spoken and written English, other languages an advantage
