Our client is a well-respected international asset management company that is committed to growth in Asia. Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to strengthen the finance support to the Regional CFO, Head Office, and CEOs of HK Hub entities. The company is currently seeking a high-calibre Senior Accountant to join the Finance function.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will join a team of qualified and talented accounting professionals to produce timely accurate financial statements and regulatory returns of HK, Singapore, and Australia licensed entities. As an experienced Accountant, you will ensure timely and accurate delivery of statutory reporting, regulatory returns (FRR and SG MAS), provide analysis and support to decision-making and strategic ideas. Additionally, you will manage relationships with regulators, senior management, and internal/external auditors. You will define and improve the financial control framework, ensure operational efficiencies and compliance to policies and standards.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree and a professional accounting qualification
- Minimum 4+ years of experience gained from a financial controllership / regulatory reporting / legal entity controlling function in banking / asset management
- Proven experience in full set of book within financial services
- Solid relationship management skills with stakeholders, regulators, off-shore centers and team members
- Knowledge of HKMA (preferred) and SFC (essential) regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Cantonese
