Senior Accountant or strong Staff Accountant needed for a long-term contract engagement expected to last at least a year. Company just got acquired and has a very solid bottom line. They are looking for a dependable additional to their team to start immediately upon selection.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform full-cycle accounting in accordance with GAAP to include preparation and appropriate documentation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, preparation of sub-ledgers that tie to trial balance, prepare and analyze financial statements relative to budget and monthly forecasting
· Maintains the accuracy of standard costs, and ensures that the company?s reporting requirements are satisfied
· · Provide support to department heads in understanding actual versus budget departmental spend variances.
· Analyze and reconcile monthly revenue
· Assist with yearly Audit preparation - maintain audit readiness in accordance with GAAP and PBC from external auditors
· Engaged in the more critical and confidential aspects of accounting, which require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues
· Special projects, ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
· Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION Bachelor?s degree in Finance or Accounting
