Senior Accountant/Financial Manager (Asia)

Location: Hong Kong
Position Description:
- Work within the Regional Finance Center in Hong Kong to focus on finance operations in the Asia region, under minimum supervision
- Support the accuracy and integrity of the Company's overall collection and reporting of financial information
- Assist in leading accountants of the Regional Finance Center in Hong Kong to comply with various statutory and tax regulations of Asia, perform closing of books effectively, process standard financial and operational functions, and contribute to special projects as they arise
- Assist to oversee the overall accounting functions of entities in the Asia region
- Develop and prepare internal and external financial reports based on accounting information and data, in accordance with Company and regulatory policies and procedures
- Manage and enhance existing financial and reporting processes
- Participate in the implementation of common finance and accounting systems and processes
- Ensure continued successful transition to the new Accounting/Finance system
- Perform consolidation for reporting and tax purposes and ensure US and local statutory compliance ? Review works and provide guidance to accountants in the Asia region
- Interface with external advisors and consultants
- Plan and coordinate with functional teams in Asia Pacific and US
- Achieve operational excellence through the standardization of policies and processes in coordination with other functions (Accounting/Finance/Tax)
- Support overall finance and tax compliance in Asia-Pacific
- Support new businesses in their entry into the market
- Provide guidance to local business support professionals and work closely with the payment center team in the Asia region
- Work in a team setting to implement and execute organizations's international initiatives
- Analyze new legislature and statutory requirements for implications and implementation
- Manage other duties as assigned by the Management
- Competencies:
- Advanced Degree or equivalent, with a related certificate – CPA preferred
- Advanced oral and written communication skills in the English language
- At least 10 years’ relevant accounting and financial management experience gained within a multinational company, with at least 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax laws, US GAAP and IFRS is essential
- Experience in ERP system will be an advantage
- Possess work experience in a diverse, changing, and growing business environment, and familiar with working with cross-functional teams
- Possess a proactive work approach towards contributing ideas and solutions to problem-solving situations
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and management skills
- Able to exercise excellent judgment and extreme discretion
- Able to be flexible with work hours
- A self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment
- Able to travel internationally, occasionally, when required
