Senior Analyst
Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is responsible for the management of the Government Pension Fund Global and the Foreign Exchange Reserves. The portfolios are valued at more than USD 700 billion and invested in international fixed income, equity and real estate markets. NBIM is gradually increasing real estate investments to as much as 5 percent of its assets. The Real Estate Asset Management group is an integral part of NBIMs Real Estate area, and is responsible for managing and monitoring NBIM’s Real Estate investments.
We are seeking a dedicated professional for the position as Senior Analyst in the Real Estate Asset Management group. Your role will be to manage processes and structures to monitor and follow-up specific investments in the real estate portfolio.
The position is located in New York and some travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage holding structures for specific real estate investments
- Implement and manage governance of investment holding structures
- Responsibility for quarterly and annual financial reporting at an investment level
- Monitor and manage investment cash flows
- Contribute to investment performance monitoring and management
- Manage external service providers for real estate investment holding structures
- Coordinate and follow-up on transaction related matters with other teams in NBIM
- Assist in transaction activity including due diligence processes
- Liaise with JV partners operations teams
Main Qualifications:
- University degree with strong academic record, preferably at Masters level
- 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within audit
- Strong capability in IFRS and US GAAP reporting frameworks
- Some knowledge of US federal and state tax compliance
- Analytical mind-set with strong planning and reporting skills
- Structured, accurate and proactive with a self-driven personality
- High level of integrity
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
