Senior Analyst – ETF Middle Office Support, IB Operations recruitment

• Police all ETF bookings done out of Asia for all of the Asian listed ETF products traded globally - currently there are 250+ products.
• Ensure process flows are created, documented, and updated for all ETF flows to ensure regional consistency, and use to educate and assist the regional clearing and settlement teams.
• Ensure a proactive approach to managing the lifecycle events of an ETF transaction, and coordinate regionally with the various CS entities that ETF passes thru.
• Submit ETF creation and redemption applications directly to the ETF issuers/asset managers in Asia by translating data received from the FO and clearly communicating that to the issuers/asset managers.
• Reconcile bookings to ensure that all flows are documented and booked in the appropriate systems across all regional CS entities and are consistent with the data received back from the applications that have been approved from the ETF issuers.
• Coordinate setup of PD/AP status with Asia issuers and maintain database of ETF funds that CS is approved to create/redeem by working closely with on-boarding, legal, and tax.
• Mitigate Operational risk. Key focus on balance sheet risk Key Risk Items (KRI's).
• Work closely with other regional ETF Middle Office teams in London and NY to ensure global consistency and global participation on key projects and initiatives.
• Responsible for making new business decisions on accepting new flows or diversion from existing flows, then managing breaks until resolution to ensure we mitigate / limit business risk.
• Consolidate pricing info related to each ETF and be able to promptly communicate this to the FO to aid with trading decisions/strategy on a daily basis.
• Understand operational requirements for products like P-Notes, Structured Warrants, Portfolio Swaps, Index Swaps, and equity baskets used as vehicles for creating/redeeming the ETF units.
• Daily monitoring of dashboard and Operational Guidelines set forth by the ETF issuers to meet strict deadlines within the ETF creation/redemption lifecycle.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of the team to allow thorough cross training plans to be documented and adhered to.
• Provide support and encouragement to team Supervisor.
• Devise Business Plans for departmental requirements (IT Solutions, Cultural changes, Process changes).
• Represent department in meetings and projects that affect the team.
• Where required attend external forums on behalf of Credit Suisse, including ETF conferences and PASLA participation.
• To support and help implement change resultant from the ETF global strategy.
• Ensure the continual generation of process improvement ideas. Document appropriate PDF's, ensure ideas are on BoW's and push priority with IT areas and Line Management.
• Develop maintain relationship with Collateral, Stock Loan Trading desks Globally, and all Ops supporting teams Globally.

• Ideally graduate education in Business with 3 - 4 years relevant experience.
• Like for like experience in ETF mgmt or support function.
• Complete and total understanding of the ETF creation/redemption lifecycle, with appreciation of the underlying flows and deadlines required.
• Firm Settlements understanding on all markets - how markets are processed, deadlines, limitations in some, and the impact they have on the ETF flows each day.
• Understanding of trading strategies, and which entities we need to utilize and pass thru.
• Understand multiple FO and BO systems and trade capture process.
• Understanding of Tri-Party agreements and processing via Escrow's COMET process, but also other providers platforms
• Products - Experience of Equities, Fixed Income, Swaps, ETF's, Derivatives, Warrants, P-Notes, etc.
• Systems - extensive use of Excel, Global 1, Bloomberg, Reuters, OMAN, FIDESSA, and all global BO systems (i.e. NPTA/POETS/SHARES, etc.)
