JOB TITLE: ORPS Senior Analyst for Finance
PERIMETER: Finance (Accounting, Financial Control, Treasury)
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ORPS Senior Analyst for Finance main missions are to
• Implement an Operational Risk framework (methodologies, policies and tools) as per Global ORPS guidelines and in coordination with Regional Head of Finance ORPS
• Assist the EMEA ORPS manager for Finance and contribute to the operational risk tracking and monitoring, in relation with local Finance management.
• Assist in providing Regional ORPS coordinator all Finance-related information on Operational Risk Permanent Supervision which is relevant at the regional level.
• Assist in the elaboration of reporting to Finance senior management, Risk senior management and to Group ORPS
1/ Set up the Operational Risk and Permanent Supervision (ORPS) framework within Finance
• Map key “At Risk” processes within Finance scope
• Assist in defining priorities for analysis with adequate justification in relation with local Finance managers
• Ensure, on an ongoing basis, any update with Finance management of ad-hoc risk issues and residual risk area identification monitoring in coordination with EMEA ORPS manager for Finance.
2/ Implement/Perform the Risk Assessment Mapping process
• Perform RAMs within Finance based upon priorities defined (1/) under standard risk op. format. Review the RAMs performed on a regular basis
• Ensure the collect of RAM data and results within Global ORPS tool
• Contribute to the definition (if necessary) and follow up of any mitigation plan / recommendations issued from the RAMs
• Contribute to the definition - or selection among existing ones – of a set of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) in co-ordination with Regional Head of Finance ORPS and Finance managers to complete assessments
3/ Ensure Permanent Supervision performance within Finance
• Set-up and maintain PERSUS (Permanent Supervision System): review on a regular basis the adequacy of 2nd level controls in liaison with the Regional / Group ORPS.
• Conduct quality reviews on PERSUS completion on a regular basis defined by Finance ORPS management.
4/ Perform Errors Incidents (EI) monitoring
• Ensure operational errors and Incidents relating to Finance are collected into Global ORPS tool
• Report operational errors and incidents as per group error policy.
• Ensure EI analysis
5/ Ensure all other ORPS process
• Participate to a Front to end analysis (front/middle/back/finance) review of processes for optimisation and measure of operational risk.
• Assist in coordination on New Activity and Product process (NAP) for Finance.
• Participate in the follow up of the correct implementation of audit recommendations relative to ORPS within the agreed timeframe in relation with Internal Audit
6/ Maintain Operational Risk Data and analysing risk profiles
• Maintain accurate key processes descriptions and controls relating to Finance within the Global ORPS tool
• Maintain quality of data within ORPS Group tool for Error Incidents, RAM, controls and KRI
• Update Finance KRI data within Global ORPS tool and analysing their evolution
7/ Reporting
• Assist in reporting on the Finance ORPS framework to Finance and Risk Managements and for Committees under agreed templates.
8/ Functional tasks and reporting
• Follow up, challenge and report progress on closure of internal audit (high priorities), inspections, ACD enhancements points and regulators recommendations.
• Assist in challenging existing procedures, seek Finance assistance to update when necessary and assist Finance in defining solutions for proposed enhancements to control processes. Assist EMEA ORPS manager for Finance and Head of ORPS for Finance in providing detailed analysis to local and Group Finance management.
• Assist in ensuring a 2nd level review of B/S reconciliations at least on a quarterly basis
SUPERVISION DUTIES:
None
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
• At least 4 years’ relevant experience in an External audit company or an Internal Audit Department of a Financial services company or an internal control Department
• Qualifications in accounting, knowledge of financial instruments booking and reporting in IFRS GAAP and of information systems
• Experience of brokerage industry and products flows and processes would be beneficial
• Solid use and understanding in Excel
