Senior Analyst recruitment
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Analyst within the Ratings Team.
Ratings Specialism:
As part of our Ratings team you would take responsibility for reviewing emissions reduction projects based on analysis of the risk factors that affect project performance, help develop CRA's database of projects, assessing the fundamentals of projects and recording their progress; Work on the tools and analytical methods for continually upgrading the quality of the analytical process; Identify and analyse trends within sectors and regions, and contribute to CRA research papers; and contribute to the Ratings team product development process. You also have responsibility for line managing and coaching the development of analysts within your team. To be considered for this department, you should have experience in the development, appraisal and/or evaluation of projects in carbon, energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors across the globe, and highly numerical with ability to develop, undertake and interpret vast amounts of data.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A degree ideally in engineering, economics or a mathematical based subject (Masters preferable, but Bachelors degree applicants will be considered) or equivalent experience
- Up to 5 years of relevant experience in the development, appraisal and/or evaluation of projects in carbon, energy, industrial or infrastructure sectors
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Advanced excel skills
- Excellent level of articulation in written and spoken English, essential
- Excellent team-working skills
- Evidence of high levels of motivation, self drive and proactiveness to delivery
- Fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage and knowledge of the Chinese carbon market highly desirable but not essential
