Senior Analyst / Senior Finance Analyst
We're looking for you to be from a financial services background with strong analytical skills and structured methodical approach to analysing, investigating and presenting data issues. This role is offered on a nine month fixed term contract.
GFS is a standalone finance function with a Global footprint. Its four main teams in India, Poland, Singapore and the UK are part of a worldwide finance network performing a wide range of services in partnership with multiple divisions and functions. They provide finance expertise and support spanning investment banking, banking, and general finance activities to their internal stakeholders and business partners. GFS' objectives are to drive and deliver excellence and efficiency, and aims to do this by providing world-class finance capabilities that are reliable, of high quality, cost efficient, and operate within a robust control environment. The finance functions include; Accounting Operations, Payables, Financial Planning and Analysis, PL and Balance Sheet Control, Performance Management and Decision Support, External Reporting (Statutory and Regulatory), Risk and Control, Change, Finance Systems Support and Control.
As a Senior Analyst / Senior Finance Analyst, you'll manage processes to support the monthly / quarterly / year end process for the group centre, including the generation, reconciliation and substantiation of ledger entries for Group Centre division. You will be responsible for month / quarter and year end reporting, ensuring that all information is complete, accurate and meets the Group Chief Accountants (GCA) advised guidelines and relevant accounting standards. Additionally, you'll ensure all reporting and period end support is completed within group deadlines. And that all tasks are carried out with adherence to the relevant process controls including the GFS SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) packs.
To succeed as a Senior Analyst / Senior Finance Analyst, you'll be from a financial services background with preferable knowledge of Walker General Ledger and Caustic. It's important that you've a proven ability to work with large volumes of complex data, demonstrating attention to detail and high quality standards. Naturally, you'll have strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. And have a structured methodical approach to analysing, investigating and presenting data issues.
