Senior Application Support Analyst, Equity – US Brokerage Firm recruitment

Responsibilities:

• Main point of contact for order-routing FIX issues

• Categorize, prioritize and resolve software application issues that arise from equity trading and order routing systems

• Manage the team workload effectively to ensure service level targets are met, or escalate appropriately

• Mentor the individual application support analysts and improve their performance overtime

• Liaise regularly with the trading desk, external clients, brokers and others and communicate the status of outstanding requests

• Interact with counterparts in other regional offices to help standardize support structure and tools around the world

• Continue to improve and structure the HK support structure, training and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science

• Min. 5 years of Cash Equity application support experience in financial industry, preferably in an investment bank

• Proven people management capabilities while also able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to pick up and run with tasks from own initiative

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent knowledge of FIX protocol and understanding of order-routing trading life cycle

• Good knowledge of UNIX, SQL Windows

• Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in spoken and written English
