Senior Application Support Engineer – Windows recruitment
A Global Financial Services organisation is looking for an Application Support Engineer with particularly strong Windows Administration knowledge to join as a senior member of the existing team to drive change within the environment. The Support Engineer will be responsible for handling problems and queries on a global application from integration through user acceptance to production. The key to making this role a success is that you will need to go beyond first line support to 3rd line fault diagnosis. This will mean being able to actually look in to the boxes that the application sits on and looking at the processes and up memory and the disk itself to diagnose and resolve problems. You will ideally come from a Systems Administration background and have knowledge of ITIL. You must be able to troubleshoot the servers and to know 3rd line recovery and resolution within the Wintel environment. You will ideally have worked on a financial services client application.
