SENIOR APPLICATION SYSTEMS ANALYST Job in Chevy Chase 20815, Maryland US
Long established professional services firm in the DC area is looking for SENIOR APPLICATION SYSTEMS ANALYST to join their team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the design, development, test, implementation and/or maintenance of part or all of a complex application program, or modifying existing routines or purchased application software. May be totally responsible for a more complex programming project. Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUITRMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Requires a knowledge of computing systems which includes data processing equipment, programming languages, programming and analysis techniques, operating systems, test and data management. Should have demonstrated ability to analyze and solve logical problems such as may be found in mathematics, statistics, etc. Minimum of six months to three years experience in programming/analysis, including designing and developing complex programs from detailed specifications required. Basic communication skills to coordinate internal education, interaction with internal areas concerning project status necessary. Proficiency in current programming technology required.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: Designs, codes, tests, maintains, trouble shoots, documents on new or existing integrated information systems with moderate supervision at various levels of complexity to maintain quality enterprise business solutions of application architectures. Produces, and assist with the planning of, quality enterprise information systems of application architectures that meet or exceed client expectations on operations and strategic projects. Understands IT Departmental Goals and Objectives and delivers work products to contribute to those goals.

Job duties are performed in a normal and clean office environment with normal noise levels. Work is predominately done while sitting or standing. Physical effort is required to lift, hold, and carry objects up to 15 pounds, occasionally. Job duties entail using multiple body parts in a coordinated manner. Manual/Finger dexterity in both hands is needed to operate a keyboard and manipulate small objects. Sight, hearing (very important), the ability to distinguish colors, and touching are required sensory abilities. The ability to read, write, are very important, as is the ability to calculate, visualize, and analyze, all are required. (5+ years experience)
