Senior Associate/ AVP Commodities Product Controller recruitment
Key Responsibilities
• The product control candidate will work within a team that is responsible for the reporting of trader daily PL and risk, PL and risk substantiation, production of key metrics, monthly adjustments to the general ledger, system reconciliations and onboarding of new products and systems for the Commodities Business.
• The product controller will assume primary responsibility for the production of the risk and PL reporting for one of the desks supported within the EMEA region, but will also be expected to be able to cover other desks within the team. They will also work with their peers within the team to ensure that the team reporting performance requirements are met.
• The successful candidate will assist in the development and enhancement of the controls and processes performed within the reporting group.
• The successful candidate will need to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including, Front Office, Market Risk, Finance and Technology.
Relationships
• Front Office, working closely with trading staff and physical schedulers on a daily basis.
• Market Risk, working closely with market risk to ensure that the risk reporting supports Market Risks requirements
• Middle Office, working alongside all middle office support functions: Technology, Risk, Trade Support.
• Financial Control, working with all aspects of Financial Control to ensure we deliver a consistent product
• Accounts, working with accounts to ensure the General Ledger is correct.
Key Competencies
• Previous strong product control experience essential.
• Accountancy Qualification preferable
• Product knowledge: Options, Swaps, Risk, PL explain concepts.
• Physical Commodities experience would be ideal, exotic options product control experience is
• Finance or Mathematical based Degree.
• Systems knowledge: MS Office, Endur (Openlink), Athena, Solarc desirable.
