Senior Associate/ Junior VP FIG

The bank has an outstanding reputation, advising and executing mergers acquisition deals valued between £30 million and £12.4 billion across all sectors from infrastructure to financial institutions. The FIG team works closely with Financial Institutions across the sectors of: Insurance Companies, Asset Managers, Pension Funds, Banking Services firms and Payment Processing providers (amongst others) as well as a wide range of Private Equity firms and Institutional Investors. They regularly top the league table for independent investment banking advice and are a go-to firm for most of the major transactions in the sector.

The Role:
As a senior Associate you will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities, inclusive of:
• Leading on the execution of deals and mentoring junior analysts where necessary
• Preparing pitch-books and Powerpoint presentations and preparing the relevant information packs for client engagement meetings
• Conducting FIG sector analysis and monitoring the market in respect of peers and general deal drivers
• Preparing reports to the Partners and wider business on sector activity. Identifying potential targets and providing assistance in the creation of marketing material.
• Providing due diligence analysis and valuation work. It is assumed you will have strong financial modelling skills (DCF, WACC) with the ability to build models from scratch
• Supporting the Senior team on client development and client pitches.

The Requirements:

• University degree (2:1 or better) from a top academic institution
• 5-6 years experience within Corporate Finance
• At least 3 years experience within the Financial Institutions Group sector
• Exceptionally hard working
• Fluent in English at a native competency
• Excellent communicator, being able to confidently communicate with clients.
• Directly involved in at least 3 deals in a frontline capacity
• Autonomous and competent with little need for instruction or training
