Senior Associate, Wholesale Banks
The role of Senior Associate, Wholesale Banks will involve:
- Being a member of a team responsible for supervising investment banks from a wholesale conduct perspective
- Supporting the delivery of departmental objectives-company objectives through focussed supervision of a firm or portfolio of firms or a particular business line of a High Impact Firm (as defined by the manager).
- Escalating to Lead Associate - Line Manager anything of regulatory significance, or of interest to external stakeholders or impacting on CBU objectives.
- Complying with allcompany internal and regulatory process including documenting and establishing audit trails as required.
- Complying with thecompany Conduct Principles.
- Using strong interpersonal skills with senior management at a range of firms, both nationally and internationally.
- Collaborating with other team members and undertaking or leading risk assessments, SREPs and SLRPs using thecompany framework and developing and delivering focussed risk mitigation programmes.
- Feeding into the sector and thematic teams issues identified that have a wider context and topics for thematic projects.
- Undertaking other supervisory or sector work as defined by the manager.
- Sharing and escalating relevant information, making recommendations and recording the rationale.
- Developing knowledge and understanding of thecompany handbook rules and principle
You will have extensive risk management experience within the investment banking environment and will possess strong analytical skills as well numerical skills. You will have the ability to analyse large amounts of complex information, identify and present key issues and solutions.
Product knowledge is also beneficial, in particular equities, OTC instruments, bonds, options and-or commodities.
The client is a top tier financial institution.
£60000-£70000 plus excellent benefits.
