Senior Associate/VP
Duties responsibilities
- To maintain, cultivate and develop a network of buy side clients onshore and offshore
- A traditional Fixed Income/Credit sales role that will see the successful candidate selling to Hedge funds, Asset Management houses, pension funds, PE funds etc.
- To add value to an established Securities division who have a strong presence in Australia
- Organise and deliver pitch books to existing prospective clients
- Instrument coverage would span CDS, ABS, RMBS, CMBS, vanilla corporate credit
- The majority of the candidate’s responsibilities will be sales focused but the successful applicant will also become involved in the technical aspects too, e.g. structuring
Prerequisites
- A deep understanding of onshore and offshore credit markets.
- Experience in mature, complex overseas credit markets is valued just as much as strong local (Australian) experience
- A buy side network is advantageous
- Strong expertise across credit derivatives structured finance instruments e.g. CDS, CDOs, CMBS, ABS, and RMBS.
- A demonstrable record for sales in credit markets, geographically agnostic
- Experience levels of between 5-8 years would be advantageous
- Experience from the buy or sell side is of interest
- Excellent academic credentials. Masters/Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Business or a related discipline
Compensation
- Highly competitive. Market rate plus Superannuation, plus performance based incentive.
