Software Security Engineer
My client, a high frequency proprietary trading firm is seeking a Security Engineer to design and develop highly strategic security systems. This firm is currently trading massive amounts of data in microseconds, the security of these systems is their number one priority and protecting them from malicious attacks and penetrations is paramount.
The firm is at the forefront of cutting edge technology and needs an individual that is innovative, rule-breaking and has a progressive attitude for protecting massively distributed systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Own large, high-profile projects, maintaining emphasis on developing automation and self-service tooling for all aspects of security infrastructure.
- Perform complex research in the area of programming languages, compilers, computer security, and web applications.
- Work with developers and business users to improve the security of new product offerings
In order to qualify:
- 3+ years providing world class security in an elite technology firm
- Deep understanding of cryptography, network security, mobile security, and PKI infrastructure and implementation
- Strong coding experience with at least 2 of the following – Perl, Python, C/C++, Bourne, Shell, Java
- Hands on experience with Kerberos, NTLM, SPNEGO, SSH, PAM, SSL, and RSA server and authentication tokens a plus but not required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar (advanced degree a plus)
