Senior Audit Manager – Business Banking recruitment

A leading global banking organisation with a high-profile and operations throughout the region has a senior vacancy for an experienced, suitably qualified Internal Audit professional with a strong knowledge of the Business Banking sector, to undertake a challenging, management level position.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Support the Head of Audit for Business Banking to ensure that appropriate, timely assurances are provided to the Audit Committee and senior management as to the status of the control environment and highlight potential risks within Business Banking and other areas within the Bank.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To facilitate and monitor the implementation / delivery of the agreed audit plan.
• Lead, perform and support the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines
• Identify the key audit issues arising and escalating any significant audit findings that remain unresolved.
• To hold discussions with senior management to finalize audit findings and discuss appropriate action plans.
• To help develop and maintain a robust risk assessment process for documenting and communicating the results of business risk assessment, the consolidated audit plan / strategy for the assigned business unit.
• Support the implementation of the formal contact/communication strategy with key stakeholders throughout the audit cycle.
• Adopt an anticipatory approach to risk assessment through dialogue with stakeholders to assist audit planning and provide quality input to relevant committees on emerging risks

CRITERIA:
• Experienced internal auditor or business / risk manager with in-depth understanding of the SME Business Banking or Corporate Banking business, in particular, knowledge of the credit aspects.
• Professional audit certification is encouraged
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to influence.

Travel for this role will be in the region of 35%.
