Senior Benefits Consultant recruitment
Working closely with local HR partners and the Compensation and Benefits teams in the Region and at Head Office, Chicago, the Senior Benefit Consultant is responsible for the operation and day to day management of pension and benefit programmes currently covering the UK, Channel Islands, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden and Abu Dhabi.
Principal Responsibilities
• Develop policies for pension and benefit plans for the region, taking account of market practice and trends
• Ensure compliance of all pension and benefit plans with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Research and review competitiveness of pension and benefit plans and recommend changes to polices, procedures and practices, to management, as appropriate.
• Act as secretary to trustee boards and interact with management committees. Review and implement best practice governance models.
• Manage the 3rd party pension and benefits provider relationships, ensuring delivery of high quality, cost effective pension and benefit arrangements across the region.
• Support to the Benefits Manager in the management of Pension and benefit arrangements across the region and on any project or development work, including pension benefit aspects of integrations and TUPE transactions, and new office openings
• Manage the provision of management information for the region’s pension and benefit plans in accordance with regional and corporate requirements, including the development of metrics for the global metrics package
• Undertake monthly budget reviews; identify, investigate and resolve variances; update forecasts and undertake annual budget planning
• Lead pension and benefits projects and work on broader HR projects representing the pension and benefits function
• Serve as an expert “go to” resource for pension and benefits. Address elevated participant issues.
• Create and manage communication programs including written and website communication, summary plan descriptions, plan documents and other plan related materials.
Skills / Experience
• Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers
• Strong knowledge and experience of UK pension and benefits programs and ideally international pension and benefit arrangements
• Knowledge and experience of flexible benefit plans
• Understanding of UK regulatory requirements and reporting
• Advanced PC/ systems skills including excel
• Experience of budgeting
• Excellent consulting client servicing skills at all levels within an organisation
• Strong communication skills
