We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team
in the role of Senior Business Risk Control Management (BRCM)
Manager. Managing a team of two, this role will have overall
responsibility for the management of local operational risk control
for CMB Australia, ensuring operational risk assessments, loss and
incident reviews are conducted accurately and on a continual basis,
taking in to account changing economic, market, legal and
regulatory conditions, alongside operating procedures and
practices.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of two Business Risk Control Managers;
- Establishing appropriate operational controls based on risk
assessments to ensure the Group's Operational Risk Management
Framework is met and fully adhered to; - Ensuring sound processes are in place to minimize operational
risk in the CMB business and form adequate control in the 'First
Line of Defence'; - Cultivating BRCM disciplines within CMB AUH;
- Implementation of Risks and Control Framework (RCF)
including control monitoring plans; - Execution of the Risk Assessment Process: RCA / TRA scoping,
refresh RCA assessments, risk appetite statement; - Driving best operational practice through BRCM activity, themed
reviews, liaison with other functional areas and CMB AUH Business
Management; - Providing coordination and expertise to business teams to
ensure robust BRCM capabilities within CMB.
Skills
To be successful in
this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in related field (eg: Business,
Finance) - Minimum five years industry experience in Operational Risk,
Audit or similar field - Experience with Business Risk Control within Commercial or
Corporate Banking - Proven leadership, management and coaching skills
- Proven experience implementing business framework structures,
and driving cross function implementation - Sound verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to
detail - Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
